Calling on the best traditions of UK Guitarists from Inomi to page from the blues tinged with cream/clapton and adding to this the flashy squeals of the deep douth, Southpaw Jinx fashion a humdinger of an album the only drawback been the production, but really thats a minor drawback. The opening tune 'damned for eternity' blows you away with some excellent riffery and to make sure you understand where they are coming from, the axe is gixing equal billing to the vocals, cool! There are 10 tracks on the album the 4th track 'stone cold mother ****er' again shows the bands true colours with Neil Sims on guitars producing some devilish work.
The band continut with 'addicted' in the same vein of chunky rolling riffs and squeaky licks. So it continues throughout the other five tracks, funking southern style lyrics, blues metal guitar and driving pounding rhythm.
If you like the three bearded wonders of the US deep south, you will love this, and if you dont know who the **** I am talking about, but dig great rock records, try this because you won't regret it! |
