Brigade open their debut album with 'Magneto' a thunderous rolling track that quickly moves into a rolling melody that will have you tapping along in pleasure, the band have a knack of writing songs with strong lyrical content full of pointed emotional words, ideally shown in the excitable 'meet me at my funeral', the second track on the album. The third tune, 'Assemble/Dissemble' full of angst, melody interspersed with some meaty riffs and heavy chords that convinces me that they can make interesting songs and so it proved throughout the rest of this eleven track album. All aspects of the bands quality were constantly displayed, Will Simpson on vocals shows that he can project more then angst emo in his singing with tuneful performances in all the songs; while the bands performance displays a style of music that is enthusiastic and energized.
