Scandinavian Metal Thrash band Amon Amarth continue their climb to world domination with the latest re-release remastered double album showing of their brand of viking metal. Versus the World is an apt title for a band that has had to climb mountains to get recognition outside their European homeland.
With continuous belch's of aggressive growling and thunderous non stop metal, Amon Amarth have proved to be an irresistible force. With this latest album Versus the world coming so soon after the re-release of The Avenger, and The Crusher the band are on a high. Plus writing material like those northern winter gales which come so thick and fast there are rumours of a brand new album coming in 2010.
Full of bouncing head nodding stance riddled metal tunes 'Versus the world' is one of those albums that has continued to draw new fans, Disc two features the live recording of the show Amon Amarth played on December 31, 2008 in Bochum, Germany in which they played the album in its entirety, Amon Amarth are at their best when urging their baying fans to greater glories and this comes across with the audience chanting and screaming their adulation. The order of songs is the same as on disc one for you to compare from studio to live!
With eighteen tracks of blasting stomping thrash, this is one re-release that is worth
picking up.
