I just can't stop playing this album, it's that good. A young Scottish band that have
blended belief and talent into a magical mix that will also get better as their is no
denying their talent. Consider the vocals of a Thom York with the belief and passion of the first two U2 albums melded into thick dripping dollops of exciting melodic rock tunes.
The debut album from Flood of Red 'Leaving Everything Behind' carries their name like a
burning torch and dish's up 14 scintillating sparkles of high quality. Opening with the mood shaping The Edge of The World (prelude) the album twists and turns through thunderous rock tunes and atmospheric glees to such a degree that you will play the whole album immediately again just to keep the feeling of dreamland going.
Flood of Red are going it alone with their band, which allows the band to keep their music
integrity and direction totally within their hands, on this showing the guys have made the
best choice, they will probably need to clinch a distributing deal to get themselves noticed overseas, but the power and quality of the songs is what will propel them onwards and
upwards to greater heights.
