The album opens up with three verocious songs - 'vessalevine', 'sweet dreams lilac' and 'the program', with Ritchie exploding his drunk kit, Colin matching the crescendo with some powerful vocals while the twin guitars and bars throttled and roared with melody and riffery. Track 4 teases with a joyful riff before the bans darker side seeps into contrast, but the band bring in some singalong chorus which feels exactly right for the song. The fifth song has a decent almost dirty riff running throughout while at half time with track 6 the band show that there is not going to be any let up with another volumatic song 'how things have changed'. |
