The Dharma - Eight Mile Queue

The Dharma release their latest single 'Eight Mile Queue' which push's their original and exciting style one step closer to universal recognition. Using a mix
of dance rythms, some great energy inspired beats and rip roaring guitars.

Bands info:
Everyone talks about how great the 60's were for music, well The Dharma aim to mark the beginning of the 21st century in the same way.

Although The Dharma’s feet are firmly in the present they’ve coupled that with influences from some of the great rock acts who’ve come before them.

If you imagine the majesty of Led Zeppelin, the presence of Oasis fuelled by a Hendrix-like passion then you can begin to understand the essence of The Dharma, a 3 piece rock band that can play their instruments the way they should be played & are all equally as good as each other at what they do.

As Lead vocalist Paul said : “This band is all about the now and living life to the full, we don't just go through the motions, music is in our blood it’s what we think about non stop”

The Dharma feel strongly that their purpose is to give the people of this generation a rock and roll band of the now, who are not scared to break the rules.

”We run our own successful club nights called “Wrong Speed “ twice a month at Doctor Wu’s and the Cockpit in Leeds to help bands get a chance to play bigger venues even if their music isn't what's in fashion at the moment.”

“There are too many bands around these days without their own character. We believe that as long as the music is good, that's what it’s all about, that and being prepared to listen to new acts with an open mind”

The band formed 2 years ago and started as a 4 piece but this current line up has been together for about a year “As soon as we became a 3 piece something just clicked, an extra dimension was added to the band and even a year later I’m still shocked and excited”

Through constantly touring and hard work the band has steadily been gaining momentum, their website consistently gets around 2000 hits a month, and they are about to release their first recordings on G-Man Records, a 4 track CD which will be accompanied by a video that they shot in (?)

“On the final shots of the video the police and fire department were called out. We had set off a load of smoke bombs and flares in the deserted house we where filming in and it looked like we had set it on fire.”

Dharma basically means: Everything is made up of the same thing!
