Opening the album with Midnight Hour we immediately get treated to an up-tempo sing along tune that sticks in the memory like Wrigley’s on your shoe, and before you know it, it finishes but then out rolls an even better song in Be All That You Can't Be which has also been released as the first single. The lyrics on both songs rightly take a strong anti guns stance and high light the US's main social problem, so not just your average US punk / pop band!.
The album has eleven great tracks all of them pleasant with an encouraging sing along style that is infectious and hard to resist. Encouraging for the longevity of the band is that they can write not only good tunes but they are also not afraid to write about a variety of subjects which displays a maturity beyond their young age. The only complaint is that musically all the tracks have pretty much the same tempo which is great when the sun is shining but the world is not always the same every day, but saying that the album does finish with a contemplative slower track in 'At The End'.
Good album for a young band’s debut release and the intelligence behind the lyrics are promise’s of better in the future.
