Survive Atlantica - I woke The Devil

This is a ten track debut album from this London band Survive Atalintica and I Woke The Devil opens with power and desire as if they actually intended to grab the attention of diablos himself. The album was recorded as a live session so it captures the bands energy, passions and desires in perpetuity which is a brave thing to do but it certainly shows up the bands superb qualities for all to see.

Kellegher who is the bands front man certainly has vocal presence, although there are several songs on this album where his vocals could have been mixed to give a better effect, but no taking away from his sincerity or delivery. The band are obviously tight and well practised to be able to deliver a faultless performance like this so congratulations to them all.

The songs utilise simple melodies but because this is basicaly a live performance each
instrument along with the vocals project enourmous feeling that injects a multi dimensianal feel to the raw sound. There are occasions where a proper studio mixing session would have benifited what they were trying to accomplish but think radiohead live and you could be able to get a general feel to some of what Survive Atlantic are about. This is an album to play to yourself, to savior and to enjoy.

James Kellegher - vocals, guitar
Will Bower - drums, vocals
Callie Harrison - guitar, piano
Joe Turnbull - bass
