Paul Ventress they have a vocalist who can fill a stadium with
one yell, but as a unit the band have the ability to play a
mix of modern metal but rippled through with some good old fasioned
guitar work and druming of the old school to such good effect that
they have surly found a new door in the many roomed home of Rock.
The album opens with a squeeling guitar that jumps into a riff based
track that allows the band to display their wares, from mike langleys
solid drumming, Russ's bubbling squeeling axe, Paul Ventress's vocal
range and the urgent throb of Nicks bass lines, so 'love crossed pistols'
introduces us all to the many talents of 'Beyond more reason' and as
good as the song is, it is by no means on it's own, with the 14 song
album stuffed full of goodies, I don't know where to start,
it is an awsome debut album, the band not only wrote and recorded
the album themselves but they also produced it,
so what you hear is what the band want to sound like, and not shaped
to an outsiders viewpoint.Track two has Paul stretching his vocals that
brings comparisons to some of the greats of metal vocalists, while the
band exploit their instruments to the full, you may ask what songs
stand out, all I can say that there is not one song I don't want to
hear again. |
