WITHOUT THOUGHT:
'Without Thought', who took the stage by storm with an absolutly awesome performance full of power and energy, I must say at this point that the audience had a large proportion of girls perhaps even out numbering the fellas, so the mosh pit which 'Without Thought' are renowned for was a pitiful affair, but this didn't faze the Guildford crew who moved around the stage with true profesional attitude half way through the bands set the fire alarm went off (triggered by some pissed moo) the band ignored the interruption and continued while the audience just wern't interested so ingrossed were they in the bands performance (the moo got ejected but in true rebel style got found later back in the hall) next up were.
PILOT.PASSENGER:
Pilot.Passenger who had a hard act to follow but although their rock was calmer they managed to keep the audience attention with some entrancing melodic rock, the sort of music that puts a smile on your face which reminded me of the Cure, Tim on vocals had a great performance as did the band who played a tight set.
EXIT TEN:
Then we had Exit Ten, and if Without Thought were Awesome then Exit Ten were simply Massive!, being last onto the stage they set up quickly with no fuss and launched into their set on the run, and with the twin guitars of Joe and Stu howling chased hard by jza's five string bass they wern't taking any prisoners, the drums were exploding as Chris put his skins through hell and Ryan showed his mettle with a huge frontman's performance leaning out over the front of the stage one moment and the next prowling the stage in postures to enhance his vocals, the band were explosive and displayed a true belief in their music with excitement and attitude that belies their young age, watch out for all these bands. Full marks to all the bands for giving there all and performing at their best, and it always helps to have a big audience. |
