Lyrically OBN seem to enjoy using a repetitive line sometimes almost chanting the statement to drive home the point, using the instrumentation to emphasis the style it makes for some very rhythmic sections in the song, and that is surprisingly interesting, at times it can comes across as an excellent piece of work, but often the great work is undone by a short head shaking frenzy with the song completing its character almost like a dysfunctional personality, but they do lay claim to being alternative, which is almost an excuse for being different. Some of the crazy bits reminded me of the Cramps, while the melodic rhythms reminded me of the B52's.. wot the..!
This is a four track EP and is well worth a listen because I think OBN are serious about their music, this is not pap and finding originality that is more then bearable is rare.
