The Answer open the album Everyday Demons' with 'Demon Eyes' a rocking boogie tune of eye opening proportions bulging with stupendous vocals from 'Cormac Neeson' and superb accomplished musicianship from the rest of the band, it is very clear that this album has to be played loud to maximize the buzz. The Answer are a Northern Ireland band that formed in 2000 and been building a reputation ever since with Jimmy Page and Paul Rogers only two of a growing fan base whilst exposure by been the opening acts for Aerosmith and support to Whitesnake as well as winning the best new classic rock band of 2005 has only seemed to spur them on.
The Answer released their first 100,000 selling debut album in 2006 and now the all important second album 'Everyday Demons has been released again to universal rave reviews the boys from N. Ireland are doing well.
This second album has eleven blues rock songs so reminiscent of Zep, Humblepie, Free that it is going to bring tears to the eyes of the old geezers whilst impressing the younger generation because rock played like this automatically gets the rebel badge. With tracks like 'To Far Gone' , Walking Mat and 'Pride' you know that the guys have got something to say and you might just identify with it..
The songs are very strong lyrically whilst musically the band play like their life depends on it with James Heatley on drums playing like a dervish of whirling arms and throbbing skins the guys in front seem to crank up their guitars to be heard over the skins and we get that blistering reverbing volume that sounds like it works in all ten dimensions and on top of this pyramid of sound we have Cormac tearing his lungs out in a way that only the greats could compete with pretty much every track is a burning banner of rock there is not much to say except crank the volume and enjoy.
