‘GoodCopBadCop’ are rock/grunge outfit from Northampton. Delivering heavy riffs, angry bass and thunderous drums, this band find themselves rising from the graves of grunge and putting some raw energy back into this genre. ‘End of the beginning’ boasts 13 tracks, all igniting the audience with foot-stomping, head-banging tunes. This band have a great overall sound and despite drawing influences from a range of epic bands, they still produce a unique end result which really sparks tremendous potential. Track two ‘Act 1 Scene 1’ is a particular favourite of mine, as it drifts off into instrumental sections and then roars back in with authority as it sweeps into the final passages of the song. Track six has some of the coolest guitar riffs throughout, which displays the musicianship of Ward, accompanied by the rest of GCBC. Track seven is an instrumental masterpiece which doesn't fail to meet the expectations set up by the previous songs. Many cracking tracks on this album, a great piece of work.
