When Forcefeed signed to British label Glasstone records earlier this year the Bath based label got themselves a polished metal act that brings a pedigree oozing quality. Forcefeed have been independently releasing material since their conception in 2002 when this Dutch five man outfit first brought their talents together. This self titled album under the banner of a UK label will bring them deserved recognition in the UK and US.

The ten track album opens with a filthy sounding heavy riff while Lennard on vocals sounds like he has a knife pricking his throat, the tune 'Grinder' builds up with the bands trademark heavy medium paced riffery while the tempo is controlled by the skins and the urgency that this imparts to the song, the second song Break Away introduces aggression and some serious head nodding along with some join in lyrics that will have you clenching your fist and roaring at the sky, Forcefeed up the ante with 'No Answers' the third song where aggression and soft/hard vocals change the dynamics of the song.

Forcefeed continue to display aggression throughout the album while the heavy downtuned guitars produce a range of interesting riffs, the gut wrenching feel does not waver and you may find yourself looking for a good dump at the end of it. This is defiantly a mood album for the pissed and aggressive amongst us and is going to sound like the best thing on Earth when your in the right frame of mind as the whole album is relentlessly heavy and aggressive, except for the final track 'Aftermath' which brings you back down to reality with a soft landing.
