‘Casino Drive’ are a 5-piece outfit from Wiltshire, UK falling into the alternative rock genre. This band are a talented group and their music sets the scene for bigger things to come from them in the future. The vocals from James Rose produces a diverse range of deliveries and he is a strong front man, also contributing on guitar.

Track 1: ‘Hands Tied’ mixes loud with quiet, heavy with soft, but gets nails the blend with perfection! You can’t help but enjoy this sound and it’s a track I hit repeat on instantly, before moving on. The drums are sounding on form in this track, with its complex lines and fills, full credit to Steve Evans for his input on this track.

Track 2: ‘Smile Again’ is awesome, building from the start into an epic number, which leaves you wanting more when it ends. The backing and lead vocals compliment each other and they harmonise beautifully throughout, a sign of a well-rehearsed band. The guitar goes from clean to distorted in a bang of the head and the music powers into another choruses, multiplying in might and authority each time. The drums pound along with the bass line, which can be heard throughout, something which is refreshing to hear, rather than the usual drowned out effect most bands lean towards (for some reason!).

Track 3: ‘Beautiful Lies’ – I will sum this up in just a few words. You better buy the EP, because you aren’t going to hear this one on MySpace and you are missing out. A little more ‘poppy’ than the other two tracks, but a strong track all the same. Great!

This band are an absolute gem to find and I am incredibly pleased to have heard this three track release. ‘Casino Drive’ can only move forward from this point, with this sound mastered the world best strap in, because it’s about to deliver Casino Drive.
