Guns on the roof – 3 track promo

‘Guns on the roof’ are a punk rock band from Leeds, UK. If you like your more modern punk/rock sounds then this band have a lot to offer. At times I felt there was potential for the band to explore some heavier instrumental sections, rather than some slightly repetitive chants, however this does fit with the punk genre. This is a well produced CD and delivers a sharp, clean sound. The songs keep pace and provide energy-fuelled riffing from the guitarists and fast, snappy drumming. From this three track release, my personal favourite is ‘So Tired’ which actually showcases Brett’s vocal ability far more than the other songs. Checking out their MySpace, I see ‘Guns on the roof’ have supported some well-known acts of the same genre, including: Rancid, The Misfits, Stiff Little Fingers, Dead Kennedy’s and The Anti Nowhere League. This is very promising and I would hope that they’ve gathered some new fans along the way.
