This is JMC's third album and the quality and experience shines through from the opening track 'The Trigger' which belts out a great introductory song with tempo and some excellent guitar work it is quickly obvious that the bands sound is classic heavy metal of the early eighties style, hard, mean and full of melodies and guitar flourishes while Justin on vocals has a voice that is classic to the core and suits the bands style impeccably.
The second tune 'Where Do We Go From Here' introduce us to some squealing guitar solo's that builds and builds leaving you begging for more. Bringing us back down to Earth with the third song the gentle Melodie and whispered lyrics of 'My Black Rose' shows that the band has the ability to write more then just ball breaking riff dripping songs.
In the middle of this nine track album we have two tracks of approx ten minutes each, first up is the slowish 'Stop' and is a primarily a slow rendition which gives me the feeling it was written the morning after a big binge as there is a hint of tetchiness in the melodies while the next up 'The Maker' has more pace and bags more riffery.
JMC continue their guitar riffed rock with the next three songs that cement the bands sound into your consciousness and leaves you in no mistake that this is a quality act that can write and perform quality material. An album to get serious about and a band to watch out for.
