Staind have been around for ten years now and each album release follows the same quality format with powerful heart felt sentiments expressed with passion by Aaron's rich distinctive vocals and the latest album 'The Illusion Of Progress' continues the superb format with disticnction.
Opening with the excellent track 'This Is It' the album lays down the gauntlet for all the imitators over the years and makes no bones that Staind are not going to roll over for someone else to take their mantle of top hard rock band, make no mistake, that with over twelve million album sales behind them 'The Illusion of Progress' is going to add to that count. The second track keeps the quality going with 'The Way I Am' with another powerful song while we dip into the slower song with 'Believe' which is the first single to be culled from the album, and as usual Staind and Aaron's vocals make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck as the lyrics touch deep within your soul.
So the opening three tracks blow you away in a way that only Staind know how to do. Keeping the sentiments going the forth track 'Save Me' rides the emotion while the fifth song 'All I want' returns to the dramatic powerful flourishes that have earned the band its deserved reputation over the years. The Illusion Of Progress contains fifteen tracks that includes three live acoustic tracks of the bands favourite songs. This is another album that fans are going to rush out and buy and contains enough fresh quality to win over a whole raft of new fans, enjoy, because bands this good don't come along to often.
