Lower Definition - The Greatest of All Lost Arts

Playing upbeat melodic hardcore Lower Definition play a type of hardcore that on occasions slips in pop melodies before crunching your brain with pure hardcore to please even the hardiest of devotees. The album 'The Greatest of all Lost Arts' has Geise on vocals exposing us to a melodic style of lamenting interspersed with raw 'core vocals as the need arrives, although the music is more noise core melodies then anything with short spurts of comprehension fused together to produce longer moments of comprehension, almost like musical fractals the further you stand back the better they sound.

Coming out of San Diego Lower Definition have now released their first full length on the Ferret label who are home to many hardcore aspirators and should get the right amount of support to help them up the ladder, the fact that LD can incorporate so many different blends into their music suggests they might find it easier to evolve then most. definitely worth a listen and certainly easier on the senses then most hardcore bands.

Tino Arteaga - Drums
