Their five track demo demonstrates their interesting knack of combining driving rock with old school Ibiza style trance to give their sound an innovative and exciting edge. Their incorporation of keyboards in the conventionally guitar driven genre of rock works well to intensify the moody ambience of their material. Linkin Park and Kosheen are the obvious examples to compare to Immune’s musical structure and vibe. First track on the CD, Adrift is the perfect choice to crash into the collection with its moody Linkin Park style keyboards and affable clean vocals and a pulse racing build up to the power chorus which is simplistic but effectively catchy. Fans of Pendulum will particularly like this one. Strongest tracks on the EP include opening track, Adrift, Radiant and Nothing to Lose. The Immune EP seems intent on shattering the myth that rock music is all about the experimental sounds derived from a hi-tech effects pedal, feedback and distortion and crunchy guitars. The keyboards are a prominent feature in Immune’s sound and co-ordinated with dirty guitar riffs Immune’s sound is both unpredictable and energetic. While this EP mightn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, Adrift are definitely worth a listen. Even if keyboards aren’t your bag, you never know, they might just convert you.
