The Offspring - Rise and Fall Rage and Grace Review
Rise and Fall Rage and Grace, the 8th Offspring album to be released is a welcome return to the punk rock sound that made this Californian band so popular over the last 10+ years. It's a more polished sound than the almost ancient Ixnay on The Hombre but it's a nod at their roots, less about girls and more about the punk angst that fans have been waiting for; it's not completely stripped of a pop sound but the punk rock chord progression is back and garage bands are going to love it.
One of the reasons The Offspring appeal to so many is the knack of producing tracks you can sing a long too and that's most certainly what they've done here. We're still offered ballads in 'Kirsty, Are You Doing Okay?' and 'Fix You' but 'Rise And Fall' wouldn't look out of place in a Green Day set list and 'Hammerhead' is itching to be played by cover bands the world over.
Fans that can deal with the musical progression of a band will love it (this is NOT Ixnay) and new fans will be introduced to the sound they made a name with; it's worth the price and then some.

I grew up listening to Offspring, once saw them at Wembley stadium a while back and it was brilliant, except my friend got warned for crowed surfing, did it twice more then had to sit up in the stands next to the stage for half an hour with a security guard haha.
No crowed surfing at Wembley! There was also no smoking (before the smoking ban). You just needed to stand up the stairwell a bit to see hundreds of orange glows and trails of smoke floating up lol
Sounds good dude i've listened to offspring in my time but not for about two years now i wasnt hugely impressed by recent stuff. I'l check out a few tunes on here and see if it's worth gettin, thanks for the reccomendation man
