Insanita - Thrill of the Kill

Six new tunes from the Pagan thrash metallica's of Insanita, the current batch of songs are been finalised for the new album and what could be the opening track is 'Firefight', the song starts with the wailing sobs of a war traumatised woman and the crack of thunder before the pagan war drums roll in setting the scene and mood for the song proper, the speed drums of Dean Cook kick in and the twin thrash guitars of Gray and Wright bring forth their wailing screaming charging riffery setting the scene for the final ingredient of Allan Scott to join insanita to bellow his demonic vocals and the complement of madness is complete.

Firefight lives up to it's name with its whirlwind of guitars and speed drumming while Scott spits out the vocals like a devil incarnate let loose from the pit. Insanita are one of the cleverest bands about as their songs really do represent the song titles in substance and like some 'Scottish play' are always deliciously dark and foreboding with the axe work of such high standard that the band must of signed their souls away to reach such standards for ones so young. Insanita have released six magnificent tunes that will have the connoisseurs of metal drooling and fighting each other to get more.

Shadows of Mercy, Manslaughter, Inferno, I Love To Hate and what is going to be the album title track 'Thrill of the Kill' are the other songs released to wet our appetites, and all have the same high standards of axe wizardry, demonic vocals and true song substance and once listened too, like me I am sure you will feel that all other so called Thrash bands pale beside this fresh young outfit into mediocrity in comparison.

Allan Scott - Vocals/ Bass guitar
Ciaran Wright - Lead and rhythm guitar
Steven Gray - Lead and rhythm guitar
Dean Cook - Drums

Smile Insanita - Thrill of the Kill

Listening to the full album, this band have clearly benefited from some great production, meaning that the wailing twin guitar duo cut through the dreadnought of drums and bass lines, accompanied by a Slayer-esque vocal line. This 8-track album features some very competent tracks, notably 'Thrill Of The Kill' and 'Love to Hate'. 'Insanita' are a powerful, heavy band who have created a worthy release with this album.
