Brigade open the album with 'Come Morning we Fight' with the groove laden track 'What Are You Waiting For', exploding with energy the track sets out the bands stall and leaves you in doubt that this is a class act, this strong showing is followed up by 'Pilot' which is the first single to be released from the album and again is plumped up with grooves and memorable lyrical lines.
Simpson shows his vocal class with the third track 'Together Apart' which slows down the pace giving him time to show his scope before the band plunge back into the fast paced rock sound that they seemed to have nailed.
The album has thirteen fresh songs dripping with infectious rock patterns but keeping a strong eye on the mainstream Brigade also show that they can turn their hand to capturing the middle ground with songs like 'Sink Sink Swim' which displays the bands ability to write observational pop lyrics, while the track 'Four Kids To A Glockenspiel' also show that the band can write songs for friends. All in all this is a decent example of how to release your second album and continue up the ladder of success, if you are or have ever have been a fan of Fixer then you are going to love Brigade.
