I was at "The Cult" last night @ Birmingham academy, I couldn’t get a photo pass for this so there’s no shots, which is a shame, its a bit early in the year for a bold statement like what I'm about to say, especially with some big bands touring this year, with that I mean KISS @ donnington, however, here we go, if this performance is not in my top 3 come december, the beers are on me! it was absolutely amazing , from start to finish , Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy ( king Bill to us hard core cult fans ) have had various line up changes, gone through different genres of music, several different looks, from southern death cult as they originally were called to the band today, early days it was a way out almost weird sound which gathered a cult following , then after She Sells Sanctuary and the hits of the Love album, the momentum started then something happened, a move to the states and the release of "sonic temple" . this took the band to a new level , a new crowd , and a new look , this was one of the best rock albums ever created , another bold statement but its true, and all things live got better and better , I know I've digressed so back to the show, spirit walker, Edie, ill devil, she sells, fire woman, sun king, the rock riffs go on and on , even the new stuff is made to sound raw and heavy , this show got away from my camera, which hurts, with king bill pulling pose after pose with his array of guitars, its pissing me of writing this that I've got no shots, I will simply end this by saying it was " absolutely amazing " see you soon ....
