Deserves To Die open this eleven track album with a bone crushing song 'Decisive Hour'
full of squirting squeals and breakneck pedal bass with a nice solid head bashing riff
and topped of with a mix of melodic singing and fury inspired screams, all done in the best
possible taste, "probably your blood as you bite your tongue trying to stay with this one". Track two 'Make It Through The Day' gives more of the same but by now you shouldn’t be biting your tongue!.. the song has a rounder sound with less sharp jabs to the brain but still a decent listen.
The Third song almost opens with a completely different sound perhaps post hardcore melodies but hell it is post hardcore metal sentiments and is definitely a pleasant surprise, I thought I was going to get well and truly assaulted when the first track booted off. So the band have style as well as the quality to write and perform various styles with power and style.
Song four 'Without Reason' backs me into a corner and does me over again with its brutal body kicking, reminds me of a Hells Angel party I went to once, some of the aggression there was "without reason!"
'Relentless' slips back to the post hardcore style still with some massive aggression but
certainly worth listening too, in fact there isn't a tune so far that I couldn't listen too again, its all pretty good stuff, 'The Irony Isn't Lost On me' which is track 6 is the last song unfortunately as the promo cd just plays crackles after that, but again a great melodic sound with huge hooks and riffs I then cheat and listen to the second to last track from the bands myspace page 'She Screamed Hatred', with its slow menacing opening and emotional outpourings.
