Linkin Park keep themselves real, not for them the selfish bleeding of the fan, sitting in their castle counting their money, and their attitude is represented in this Live album release, with a serious attempt to give the fans a Real show rather then some crude generic melody in a merciless attempt to bleed the fans "one more time" as seen from other acts.
I am impressed with the quality of musicianship and the quality recording of this album, the band have taken the best performance of each song from the tour to compile a 'MUST HAVE' album for rock fans everywhere.
'LPUNDERGROUND7' incorporates songs from all three studio albums and opens with 'No More Sorrow' followed by 'What I've Done' from the current album release 'Minutes To Midnight', the recordings show that Bennington has a superb singing voice.
I think it's a nice touch where the mix includes the audience joining in with encouragement from the band that adds to the great feel of the album.
The Third song comes from the 'Hybrid' album, 'One Step Closer' which gets the crowd into raptures as they recognise the beats and you can feel the explosion of energy released by the crowd and carries throughout the album.
Linkin Park draw upon personal experiences for their lyrics and touch many empathic moments with their audience, no more so then with the sixth song 'Crawling' which was preceded by 'Numb' from the second album 'Meteora', which itself was preceded by the excellent crowd pleasing rendition of 'Given Up' from the 'Minutes To Midnight' album.
Anyway back upto track seven we get a little quite with 'The Little Things Give You Away' and a full seven minutes plus as the band and Chester show they can also be atmospheric as well as rowdy and why not? artists are measured on their ability to capture and move the listener not only to make them bounce, although the band immediately returned to a
fan favourite with 'In The End' and the twin vocal style that made them stand out those years ago with the crowd also joining in with a massive bonding moment, keeping the rapping style LP then banged into 'Bleed It Out' to show that not only can they still write 'em, they can perform them with close to eight minutes of tight improvisation and crowd pleasing fun, then bang, straight into 'Faint' which was as raw as ever and deserved to end the show.
But where are the encores.. the only thing to do is leave the album on repeat because forty five minutes is not nearly enough.
