Every Time I Die - The Big Dirty

As soon as I put on this album the vocalist was right in my face and I thought 'ehup sounds like Glass Jaw and with the track called 'No Son Of Mine' even felt like the same sort of sentiments, so here we go with more hardcore I thought but what type... second track 'pigs is pigs' and with bags of sentiment in there I was interested and started to really listen and it was while I was listening to the third track I began to notice some rock 'n Roll leaking through and then 'We'rewolf' kicked in and the hardcore slipped a little more and some riff rock started to rear its head while Keith Buckley the vocalist kept his hardcore credentials with his bellowing ripping vocals and so it continues with the rock changing and sounding better as it contrasts against itself.

'Every Time I Die' are a four piece band that has been quietly but purposely gaining a reputation for been a band with solid quality and it shows in this album 'The Big Dirty' which is their forth album to date, 'Every Time I Die' come out of Buffalo NY State.

The album has a nice dozen round tracks on it and gets more rocky the more it progress's leaving behind the hardcore sound as it gets more and more into that southern riff rock but Keith still giving it rice with the bellows while the band keep the 'core energy burning bright, rounding off the album with a return to hardcore with 'Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Battery'
A damn decent album with enough bollocks to be worth a good listen to in this fair and green land.

Keith Buckley - Vocals
Andrew Williams - Guitar
Jordan Buckley - Guitar
Michael Novak - Drums
