UFO - Strangers In The Night [Remaster]

Lucky for me my dad bought me this album when I started to pick up the guitar. This is an album that is totally remastered from the original. It is 24-bit digitally remastered from the original master tapes. Has expanded and enhanced linear notes, and even has an expanded track listing including tracks previously unreleased.

One of the most astounding things about the entire album is that it is a complete live album. I personally do not like live albums because almost everyone of them are doctored up and most of the time sound absolutely terrible. What surprised me about this album is that they didn't dub over anything on the entire cd. Everything is fresh as the day it was recorded (my dad was at one of the concerts that they recorded a majority of the album for) Another added plus is that you get to listen to Michael Schenker play, for you who don't know who it is, he was voted to be the best live guitarist ever, (I'm pretty sure he still holds that title) and this being a live album you get to hear him do his best. On songs like Rock Bottom, To Hot to Handle, and Doctor Doctor you get the perfect taste of why he is the best. Schenker almost goes into his own world while still maintaining perfect rythem with the band, not to mention some of the songs which both guitarists mirror each other on some of the most complicated riffs I've ever heard.

Andy Parker's drums and percussion are quite impressive through the album (sounds so good even live) as he will lead a few songs with interesting drum intros. Paul Raymond has a very good voice, and sings perfectly on this live album, and he even plays some very mellow sounding keyboards on a few songs.

Anyway if your a classic hard rock fan, and you don't own this title I have no idea why you don't own this. It's absolutely a perfect album. Even those who enjoy modern rock more, I really think would like this album.

Cool review dude.. you probably already know that we play tracks from this album on the 70's rock radio, and you are dead right, a great album and underestimated band. Top marks for your review.
