Enochian Theory perform soaring atmospheric progressive modern rock of
the quality that seems to have been missing from the UK scene for
many years. This release 'Namyamka' is a single culled from the bands
debut mini album 'A Monument To The Death Of An Idea' and should ensure
that a lot of people go out and buy it. Like all prog music the longer the
better and this single caters for both as it has two versions of the track
'Namyamka' on it, the album version and a cut down radio single version.
The band have a great vocalist or throat as they label him in Ben Harris-Hayes
he also does the keyboards which like his vocals produce a very highly
charged feel, the dramatic drum flourishes are implemented by Sam while
the heavy feel is accentuated by the bass lines from Shaun and the guitar
seems to produce an almost Gilmour like emotional sound.
The bands name Enochian Theory refers to a system of ancient angelic magic
but I don't think they will need that to get noticed the music stands
up on its own and they come across as a very tight unit.
