Opening their debut album with a 2 minute burn of intent Rue The Day show that they ain't no pussies with a teasing instrumental ending in a triumphant roar from Jack Clothier, then this five man band take of their gloves roll up their sleeves and give a masterly display of Heavy Metal that should reawaken all those old metal farts slumbering on the sofa and turn the heads of the young dudes still looking across the pond for their fix.
The second tune 'Careless Talk' opens with ten seconds of scrubbing thrash punctuated with Jack roaring for a further ten seconds before the band roll into some enthusiastic head nodding metal and stadium filling vocals, salvos of machine gun riffs and a dandy of a proper guitar solo and I was sold! I am not dropping names but there are certain similarities to a young band that I first heard nearly thirty years ago and Bruce just played this band on his radio show.
The rest of the album goes through all the gears and with a total of ten tracks to listen to you get a decent spread of metal from the growling, grinding third song 'Bullet Of Tranquility' to the dripping chugging riffs of the final tune 'Twist', there is no repetitive songs on this album further proof that they have the writing skills to match their undoubted musical skills.
The Machine has been unleashed and who can stop it.
