I like this new Thrash Metal that Agankast (name changed to Insanita) are doing for many reasons, one of them is that the guitars are recorded LOUD, and thats because they are quality guitar work.
The Running With Devils album opens with 'Heathen' and shows off the Bands new GEAR perfectly with the new guitarist and drummer showing that they are true speed merchants with Agankast thrashing it like crazy. There are nine tracks of expert Thrash Metal on this CD, this is the second CD from Agankasts (name changed to Insanita)double album and shows off their Thrash credentials like they have been playing it all their lives, displaying the qualities that have stood then so well in the past the quality tracks aren’t quickies but full blown tunes standing between 4 and over 7 minutes long and with the album approx 45 minutes long it will leave you like a fish out of water gasping for breath by the time you get to the end all you will want to do is play the album again. The second track 'Razorwire' thrashes some great riffs at speed before setting up the 3rd song 'She Bleeds Blood' for some extortionate guitar work, the forth tune 'Driving Out The Demons' gets the menacing guitar riff that along with the skins not only drive out the Devils but will drive out your neighbours, all this while the twin guitars scream in fretful howling, it should be halftime with twenty minutes of spectacular speed metal but there is no rest with the fifth track 'This War' crunching in, pumping out a ground shuddering low throb on the R+B section while the Guitars light up the sky with interchanging riffs and knife thrust squeals.
'End It All' shows that the band can change gears as they thrash it around the corners before going flat out Down the straight, did I say that Ryan on the skins must have biceps like iron to keep up this pace because there's no drum machine here its all Human sweat. 'Contaminated' Launches itself with Alan barking vocals like a demented devil and the twin guitars start getting really twiddley with 'Soulstealer' the second to last track we get an instrumental which is the first song that I hear a sub 120 beat but it only lasts 20 seconds or so before we get back upto speed and have 4 minutes of frantic head nodding, the final track of this seventeen track double album is also the longest track at nearly eight minutes but 'Running With The Devils' sees the band exploit their super musicianship and provide us with many fret chasing solos on this last song it also dips sub 120 here and there but it really doesn’t matter, it really doesn’t! Watch out because Agankast (name changed to Insanita)have found some more gears and are going flat out to be the fastest in the land if not the world.
