Cars On Fire Writing New Album and Preparing New Video For Release

After trailblazing their way through 2009 Bristol based four piece 'Cars On Fire' are set to tear 2010 a new asshole as they lock themselves away to write their second record. The band will also put finishing touches to their next video, 'Sharks', (Director Carl Shanahan -Nine Inch Nails, Mudvayne) set for a February 2010 release. Vocalist Ali Ross said "The Sharks video is pretty ****ing mental, I think a lot about life and how it can be awful and horrifically **** sometimes, the last year in my personal life has been pretty rough and its felt like I've been living in hell. Sharks was written at a particularly horrible time, a time when I was ready to **** it all off and let go, but something stopped me."

The band stepped out of obscurity earlier this year to record their seven track mini album 'Dig Your Own Grave' for Undergroove Records with Jason Wilcox (Fightstar, Ghost Of A Thousand) at the helm. Following this release the band have received heavy airplay from Radio One, XFM, BBC6 and Total Rock Radio, resulting in live sessions for the Rock Shows at Radio One and XFM. 'Cars On Fire' have also received raving album reviews from Kerrang, Rock Sound, Total Guitar and Big Cheese (the reviews speak for themselves). Live the band have played Manchester's prestigious 'In The City' and across the UK they have shared stages with the likes of Fact, Computers, Skindred, Breed 77, They Fell From The Sky, Orange Goblin and tonight the band have the honour of supporting The New York Dolls at Bristol's Anson Rooms.

Kerrang!: 4/5 'A flaming ball of stylish fury, they switch effortlessly between rage and restraint, carnage and calm. Cars On Fire have ignited a spark that, in time, could well become a raging inferno'
Rock Sound: 8/10 'Transcends into an impossible to contain aural inferno. One scorching mutha!'
Big Cheese: 4/5 'A jaw dropping debut... these guys are paving an exciting path for a bright future.'
Planet Loud: 8/10 'if there's any justice, these guys will get the chance to make the impact that they deserve.'

Check out the bands myspace now for upcoming shows, videos, merch and reviews of one of the most talked about albums of the year, "Dig Your Own Grave"
