The award winning Get It Loud In Libraries are pleased to announce a gig by one of the most exciting, and well connected British bands around- The Blackout. They have been confirmed to play with Get It Loud In Libraries at LANCASTER LIBRARY WED JAN 20th with support coming from Young Guns.

A forward thinking live programme of gigs by fresh, new, emerging acts sprinkled with the odd classic band that are staged in public libraries across the UK.

The aim is simple: to present the future today in libraries; to connect young people back into libraries through great new music; to place libraries squarely on the pop culture map. Previous shows include Juliette Lewis, Los Campesinos!, Miike Snow, British Sea Power, Florence & The Machine, Mr Hudson, Bat For Lashes, Noah and the Whale, + many more).

Get It Loud In Libraries encourage young people to front the shows, run all media (film, photography, radio broadcasts), run FOH, shadow sound technicians, oversee lighting, ticket sales, artwork for the shows, stage set up - the future music
