In your Face Melodic Rock With Circle of Fate

6/23/2009 - Chicago, IL - The music press is on fire with the second release by Chicago rock ensemble Circle of Fate. Described as "Pop rock with metal undertones", Circle of Fate's new CD 'Back To Life' is an amalgamation of catchy melodies and hooky rhythms. For the last 10 years the band has been capitivating audiences all over the world. Produced by Larry Sturm, who has worked with top music artists such as Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige and Disturbed, and who has said of Circle of Fate's new single, " 'My Religion' has all of the ingredients of a hit song!"

"The new CD took about one year to fully record," says guitarist Danny Charatin. "Circle of Fate went into the studio and recorded a three song demo off of the CD. After the demo we put the rest of the songs together and did pre-production. Once the band felt we could get in and knock it out we went back to the studio, which was Pressure Point Studios in Chicago, and recorded the last seven songs in a 40 hour slot. This meant that the band went to work and came into the studio late at night and were there sometimes until 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning. It can be difficult to play your best when you are tired but the final result turned out great!" Circle of Fate has a wide range of influences which can be heard throughout the new CD. These influences include Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Heart, Dream Theater, Journey, Joe Satriani, Iron Maiden, Porcupine Tree, Steve Vai, Nickelback and Prince just to name just a few.

"It's not often that a female-fronted hard rock outfit can really deliver a knock-out punch but that's not the case with Circle of Fate. The band has put out a righteous display of rock 'n' roll agression for all to enjoy." - Smother.net

Circle of Fate features:
Michele Caruso: Lead Vocals - Michele has done jingle work for Chicago’s hit radio station B-96, and has also been an extra on a Bud Light commercial. Michele was model/dancer for the New York Creatures Video in MTV Europe, and also be heard on the Gateway Cheverolet commercial on T.V. and radio. On top of all that, Michele was on the Howard Stern show, singing one of her original songs. The show was also aired on live radio, CBS, and E-Entertainment. She has has performed jingles for Chicago’s rock station Q101 and Mancow's Morning Madhouse where she sang the Gateway Cheverolet song live on the air

Danny Charatin: Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals - Danny has been playing the guitar now for about 22 years. Danny's past bands include Destiny, Moriah, Latent Fury and Ion Vein. Danny has also done some studio work in the past. He has played shows out of state to fill in for other bands and has a blues influence in his playing. He also enjoys playing classical pieces. He quotes..."My ideas and style fit perfect with Michele's melodies and style. Together it's the perfect combination for real music that comes from the soul".

Ethon Burns: Drums, Percussion - Ethon has been playing drums now for 16 years. He attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Having lessons from several big names in the industry (Chester Thompson and Jeff Wade to name a couple). From there he moved through the studio circuit, amassing around 60 hours studio time with everything from country to metal and playing an absurd amount of gigs in Iowa where he is from.

Jeff Barker: Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals - Jeff has been playing in numerous musical projects over the years; everything from original material to cover songs. While he has been the bassist in the majority of the projects he was involved with, he also plays guitar, keyboards and sings lead and backing vocals. His past projects have included a wide variety of music that ranges from rock and roll and the blues, heavy metal, industrial, speed metal, and jazz. He also has been involved in over twenty studio projects with numerous artists, and he has played in 500+ shows in the Chicago-land area, throughout the mid-west states and on the East Coast. Jeff was a nominee and finalist for Best Musician Bass Guitar in Chicago Nightlife Magazine's Best of the Burbs Contest 2009.

"They are not Evanescence yet, but at least they are more interesting." - Illinois Entertainer

Michele decribes Circle of Fate's music as, "A break from the mundane. Our music kicks ass! Our music has great melodies and it’s in your face rock. Our music tells a story and leaves you wanting more."

And what does the future hold for Circle of Fate? "We would like to see ourselves like the Red Hot Chili Peppers," says Ethon. "They’ve been around for a long time and everyone knows who they are but they are not the Rolling Stones. Circle of Fate would like to be on tour in the US and Europe playing our music to thousands of people. We also see ourselves writing new material and developing as artists." Circle of Fate will be performing at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI on June 30th (www.summerfest.com)
