Punk Rock Princes Green Day are st to release their new album '21st Century Breakdown', on May 15th 2009.

'21st Century Breakdown' is split into three sections and tells the story of a young couple called Christian and Gloria.

The album produced with Butch Vig of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins fame includes the tracks '21 Guns', 'East Jesus Nowhere' and 'Restless Heart Syndrome'. A single will be released in April titled 'Know Your Enemy'.

For those of you looking to catch them live they begin an arena tour in North America this July and moving on to Europe later in the year.
