Following their Radio 1 playlisted single “I am the Message” earlier this year, FIGHTSTAR (live review) will be releasing a new single - The English Way (watch video) on November 3rd 2008. (Live photos of Fightstar) It will be on their new label, Search and Destroy, a record label venture from Raw Power Management (Funeral For A Friend, B4MV, Iron Maiden, Gallows).

“The English Way” which is about our broken English society, and how to try to rebuild it, will be released in three formats; on CD, 7” vinyl and as a digital bundle. The b-side tracks feature vocalist Charlie Simpson on drum duty, as drummer Omar Abidi is currently nursing a broken hand. Amongst the b-sides is a song originally written and recorded by songstress Imogen Heap. All extra tracks on the release are as follows:

The band have also hooked up with My Space who will be giving members the chance to win a party at their school with Fightstar, Kate Nash, The Wombats and Ironik. Fightstar have been writing and demo’ing tracks for their next album all summer – only venturing out for a few headline festival shows, and to open the main stage at the Download festival. Now they have been confirmed as main support to Feeder for October/November – and will also play some of their own headline dates. The London show at Proud Galleries will double as a record release party for “The English Way”. The dates in full are:
