You me at six to support fall out boy this month

You Me At Six (review) are thrilled to announce they will be supporting Fall Out Boy on their October UK arena tour. The 3-date tour, which already features Bostonians Boys Like Girls, kicks off in Birmingham on October 19th. While the dates fall in the middle of You Me At Six’s headline tour, the band have rescheduled three of their dates and original tickets remain valid for these shows. The new tour dates are as follows:

15.10.2008 MIDDLESBROUGH EMPIRE
16.10.2008 NORWICH WATERFRONT
17.10.2008 NOTTINGHAM RESCUE ROOMS
18.10.2008 WOLVERHAMPTON WULFRUN
19.10.2008 BIRMINGHAM NEC – SUPPORTING FALL OUT BOY
20.10.2008 NORTHAMPTON ROADMENDER – RESCHEDULED SHOW
21.10.2008 GLASGOW SECC HALL 4 – SUPPORTING FALL OUT BOY
22.10.2008 LONDON WEMBLEY ARENA – SUPPORTING FALL OUT BOY
23.10.2008 MANCHESTER ACADEMY 2
24.10.2008 LIVERPOOL ACADEMY 1
25.10.2008 SOUTHAMPTON UNIVERSITY
26.10.2008 OXFORD ACADEMY
27.10.2008 LONDON ASTORIA
28.10.2008 CARDIFF SOLUS
29.10.2008 BRIGHTON KOMEDIA
30.10.2008 EXETER PHOENIX
03.11.2008 GLASGOW ABC 1 – RESCHEDULED SHOW
04.11.2008 LEEDS MET UNIVERSITY – RESCHEDULED SHOW

Singer Josh Franceschi said “We are honoured to be playing shows as big as these with a band that we all love. However it was a tough decision as we never want to risk inconveniencing our fans by changing the dates of our shows. However, we found days to reschedule the shows so that makes minimum hassle for everyone.”

A collection of 13 anthems for our time, You Me At Six’s debut album Take Off Your Colours reflects the changing musical landscape within the current UK rock scene. No longer are most bands striving to go back to their hardcore roots. They are influenced by bands such as Fall Out Boy and Paramore, who still belonging to the scene and have incorporated an element of pop into their guitar heavy song writing to produce Radio One worthy hits. The album is out now on Slam Dunk Records.

“The only new British band you need to be bothered with this year” – Kerrang! KKKK

You me at six news

Fall Out Boy UK Tour Support

So we have some news, which we hope is good news for everyone. We are pleased to announce that Fall Out Boy have asked us to play their UK shows as well as the show in Paris we were already playing. We obviously couldn't turn down the chance to play at these Arenas. This will be a dream come true for us!

However the dates clash with some of ours, so unfortunately we will have to move 3 of our shows. We never wanted to have to move dates of our shows, but we would be crazy to turn down this opportunity! We thought long and hard about this because we don't want to annoy anyone. We only accepted after we checked we could easily change the dates. Only 3 shows are effected:

Northampton – the show has been postponed only by one day from Sunday 19th October to Monday 20th October. We also heard that some people were going to see Fall Out Boy in nearby Birmingham on the original day of the show, so now we hope more people can go.

Glasgow – The show has been moved back from Wednesday 22nd October to Monday 3rd November.

Leeds – The show has been moved from Tuesday 21st October to Tuesday 4th November.

Your original tickets are still valid for the new dates.

We hope that everyone can make the new dates but if for some reason you can't, you can get a refund on your ticket from the place where you bought it.

So anyone going to see Fall Out Boy, get's to see us twice! One short support slot and of course the long headline slot, where will be playing a lot of songs!

Unfortunately our new friends in Houston Calls and Farewell can't change their flights so they can't stay for the new Leeds and Glasgow shows. At present we are trying to sort out shows in those cities on the original days. We will let you know as soon as these are confirmed.

We have new supports in Leeds and Glasgow. These will be announced shortly.

We are really sorry if you can't make the new date

Take Off Your Colours

So the album came out on Monday!! The great news is that when the midweek charts were announced this week we have been in the top 20 all week, however its really close so if you have not got an album and you intend to get one please go out and get a copy. How amazing would it be if You Me At Six had a top 20 album??

If your local shop does not have one please tell somebody at the counter, the demand has been quite high so we are aware that some stores have sold out.

If you want to order your copy online then click on one of the links
