Saturday 1st November will see five of Blackfriars monstrous arches turned into a Crossfire party that will go down in the history within the underground skate, art and music scenes.

KERRANG! ARCH

Drum and Bass superstars PENDULUM head up the musical proceedings in the KERRANG! ARCH. Expect a two hour DJ set from EL HORNET AND MC VERSE that will be absolute carnage if their performance with the CROSSFIRE SOUND SYSTEM in the Duracell tent at this year’s Download Festival is anything to go by. Pendulum will be warmed up by Crossfire’s very own DJ’S ZAC SLACK AND JAMES SHERRY who will be announcing their very special guests next week and will bring a collection of the latest punk, metal and rock classics.



KATIE P from XFM’s rock show and TALITA TWO SHOES from Total Rock will both be making sure the Kerrang! Room is at full peak rock wise and worth noting that his arch will be lit by Death Metal Halloween art projections from FRENCH.



ETNIES ARCH

Expect Hip Hop, funk, soul, drum and bass electro, mash up, dub step and party classics in the Etnies Arch headlined by DAN GREENPEACE of XFM fame. This room is set up for the party minded and would not be complete without the inclusion of the UK’s most talked about crew as currently B-listed Radio 1 DJ’s CHASE AND STATUS will bring a set you will find hard not to enjoy. 13 years of DJ’ing in the making it seems as though 2009 is definitely going to be their year. To make sure the party goes off in style expect a slamming party set from Scenario’s ED PITT and lashings of hip hop from DJ HERS from established London hip hop night Throwdown.

Crossfire has delivered the UK’s biggest underground skateboard events since 2001 and to celebrate its 7th Birthday, owner ZAC SLACK has organised a mini ramp jam with 30 of the best UK and European mini ramp riders from Etnies and Element plus the UK’s best handpicked by Crossfire, SIDEWALK MAGAZINE’s Editor Ben Powell and assistant editor Kevin Parrott. sidewalk skateboarding | sidewalkmag.com

The UK skate scene has seen Crossfire rack up over 24 different skate events in this time, all have been very well attended, well documented and some have gone down in skateboard history.


This riotous part of the evening will be a jam format from8.30pm. Expect all riders to be in fancy dress whilst Slayer reigns from the RED BULL SOUND SYSTEM speakers! Those who are expecting the X-Games will be gutted as this will be straight from the underground as a raw as steak!

GRAFFITI SHOWCASE

The artists showcasing their graff skills on the night come as a special guest package. This Halloween we will have bespoke graff art from the ID CREW, the RT CREW and TOBE. This is the hottest art line up in years meaning the walls will scream on the night making the arches of Blackfriars come to life.

From their original conception in 1996 ID strived to bring a new attitude to previous graffiti scene, using a more comical approach and focus on the technical skills of each writer using original, futuristic and highly developed font and letter styles and unique, innovative character design, resulting in a higher quality of graffiti production. ID now has grown from the initial creation by brothers Tizer and Shucks to crew of twelve artists, individually chosen for own creative and distinctive styles and ideas.

The crew now consists of Tizer, Shucks, Imerse, Jobe, Relay, Stika, Lovepusher, Mace, Bonzai, Agent, Aces and Pref - all with notoriety in their individual fields.
