illuminatus confirm full UK and Ireland tour with My Ruin
Multi-national post-metal quartet illuminatus have confirmed 17 dates as part of the Religiosi Tour with Los Angeles' female-fronted hate-metal icons My Ruin.
The tour follows the recent release of Nottingham-based illuminatus' critically acclaimed debut album The Wrath Of The Lambs and builds on their successful support of Texan industrial metal legends Ministry on the UK leg of their final world tour (C-U-LATOUR) in May/June.
illuminatus have been together for seven years and their previous collaborators include producers Harvey Birrell (Therapy?, Ministry) and Pete Coleman (AC/DC, Paradise Lost). The band's music has been compared to Anathema, Paradise Lost, Deftones and Cult of Luna and described as "melodic, atmospheric, powerful" (Rocksound), "soul-shaking dynamics" (Metal Hammer) and "serious music for serious people" (Kerrang!).
The Religiosi Tour firmly establishes illuminatus as the fastest rising stars of the UK's alternative metal scene.
