FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'Kicking And Screaming' on Join Us records

Welsh rockers FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND release the second single from their eagerly anticipated fourth album ('Memory And Humanity') on Sept 29 2008, Following on from the smash hit 'Waterfront Dance Club / Beneath The Burning Tree' double A side single, (watch the Videos HERE of Waterfront Dance Club - Beneath The Burning Tree ) The NEW 'Kicking And Screaming' single is a truly infectious slab of melody, expertly melded to a groove as big as a canyon! Written about the experiences of growing up in the valleys of South Wales, it is one of the most autobiographical and heartfelt songs in Funeral For A Friend's formidable arsenal.

"I remember myself and Matt knocking down a rough instrumental version of this track on a day off in Germany," explains drummer Ryan Richards. "It was only really a couple of riffs, a sampled beat and the synth in the chorus, but even then there was a wealth of melody going on. It's basically a pop song played loud, hard and turned up to 11." The single will be available in the following formats:

CD Single (Kicking And Screaming plus 2 brand new tracks, 1 from the forthcoming album)

7" Single (Kicking And Screaming plus 1 brand new track) Download Bundle (Kicking And Screaming plus 2 brand new non-album tracks plus Kicking And Screaming as remixed by Ghostlines)

Itunes Bundle (Download bundle plus special exclusive unplugged version of Kicking And Screaming)

The band have also recently announced an extensive UK tour that will take place throughout October, November and December 2008 in support of their fourth album, the first on their own label, 'Memory And Humanity'.

It is due for release on October 13 - exactly five years to the day that their debut record 'Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation' hit the shelves! Support on the tour will come from Canadian metallers Cancer Bats, Irish upstarts In Case Of Fire and Welsh combo Attack Attack. "In my opinion this is the most exciting and eclectic touring lineups we've ever put together," explains Ryan Richards (Drums). "Every band brings something extra to the evening and will definitely bring the best out of us and keep us on our toes. We're going to have to limit ourselves to how many brand new songs we're going to play I think, otherwise we might get carried away and play the whole thing. It's just an album full of songs that are begging to be unleashed upon our lovely fans."
