With nearly one million album sales under their belt, TRIVIUM will launch their upcoming new album ‘SHOGUN’ with a brand new FREE MP3 of ‘Kirisute Gomen’ from 5am GMT tomorrow, Thursday 31st July.

‘Kirisute Gomen’, the album’s opening track, will be downloadable from all Roadrunner and Trivium websites and will only be available for 24 hours. The unusual song title refers to the execution privileges of a Japanese Samurai warrior. The band have also made the attached artwork for the MP3 available.

On August 11th, fans will have the chance to hear another new song when ‘Into The Mouth Of Hell We March’ is released digitally, to coincide with the release of the highly anticipated new Madden NFL game it is debuted on. One of EA Sports’s biggest titles, this summer marks the 20th anniversary of the football franchise, which has sold in excess of 70 million worldwide.

The first single will be ‘Down From The Sky’, due for digital release on September 1st, which the band shot a video for at home in Florida last week with director Ramon Bousiveth. The album ‘Shogun’, mixed by Colin Richardson and produced by Nick Raskuelinecz, will follow on September 29th. The full tracklisting will be:

Trivium have been posting special in-the-studio video updates online via their official website. Fans can currently see three webisodes at Welcome to the Trivium portal. The band also took time out of the busy recording schedule to lay down a cover of Iron Maiden’s self-titled classic, which was given away free as a covermount with Kerrang! magazine last week. As for touring plans, the band will co-headline in the US with All That Remains from September 9th – October 19th, before co-headlining the UK on the Unholy Alliance tour with Slayer from October 27th.
