FR8 Get Ready ... are you!

"When you hear the damaging ‘Soul Sickness’, the perverted ‘Twisted’ and the rhythmically iconoclastic ‘To Die Inside’, then you’ll understand why FR8 are a worthy British band who could go far." - Malcolm Dome of Metal Hammer

Massive Cure bring you FR8 (Freight). This four piece outfit who wield their unique style of old school heavy metal influence with brutal efficiency.

In past years FR8 have supported many popular bands (earthtone 9, Lost Prophets, The Gathering) allowing them to reach larger audiences and has given them national recognition in the metal scene. Their name has become familiar because of their frequent gigs and regular air play on stations such as Total Rock radio, Kerrang and The Radio One Rock Show.

After attracting attention from UK Label 'Copro Records' (Earthtone 9, Panic Cell, Vacant Stare, Fony and many others) in 2003 from a demo, FR8 travelled down to Philia Studios - Henley on Thames, shortly after to record a debut seven track mini album, produced and engineered by Dan Turner (Cradle of filth, Anathema, Napalm death).

Kicking off their end of year tour with an exclusive gig for massive cure at the cluny before starting a string of dates around the uk to promote their new album 'Act And The Mind Will Follow' which is due to be released soon.

As if this wasn't enough for the hardcore metal fan Fr8 will have support from established Metal Band Upon All (www.myspace.com/uponall2) and newcomers Fragile (www.myspace.com/samfragile).

Built on a solid foundation of musical experience, dedication and ability, Upon All have and always will work hard to prove they can hold their own and justify the claims of being "the heaviest band in the universe", priding themselves on a tight solid performance. Its clear to see the chemistry and bond Upon All have and if you see the band live you will agree the energy is like no other and together with the reaction of the crowd you better be prepared for organised chaos. This band never fails to impress live if you dont believe it you obviously havent seen them yet. Pure aggression in the depths of melody is the bands descriptive terminology for their music.

welcome to the world of Fragile, however they are not as Fragile as they look, this band makes the word Fragile have a new meaning. They are the new sound, fresh to the ears. When they play they play from there hearts. This style of music involves heavy riffs, catchy lyrics and most of all four idiots.

Fresh from the studio and dededicated rehearsals Fragile are ready to take the scene by storm. young energetic and full of life, Fragile are will come crashing into the scene like a ten ton truck ending up in your living room.. having played a few low key gigs throughout the year, Fragile have gathered together a small underground following. after gaining interest from massive cure who describe them as one of their hottest prospects of the year Fragile will not disappoint any critical crowd.
