Having had an interest in the guitar from as early as 2 years old, Chris started guitar lessons from the age of 7. He was influenced from this age by classic rock bands of the past to the present (Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, AC/DC, The Who, Jimi Hendrix). After becoming known on the local scene when he was just 12, Chris broke into the limelight after being crowned Guitarist Magazine's 'Young Guitarist Of The Year 1997' when he was 16. Soon after this, Chris was approached by Marshall Amplification to play at roadshows and clinics for them around the UK and Europe. The many great musicians Chris has worked alongside include Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, Greg Ridley of Humble Pie, Pete Way from UFO for the regrouping of his band 'Waysted', original Whitesnake Guitarist Bernie Marsden, Dave 'Bucket' Colwell of Bad Company, Procul Harum Guitarist Geoff Whitehorn, renowned session guitarist Phil Hilborne, Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell and Austria's triple platinum selling artist Christina Sturmer, in which he played to thousands of people at festival dates and her own shows including a full arena tour. Chris also appears in a series of documentaries 'Inside The Music' - an independant critical review of various artists and the albums they have released. As always, Chris can still be seen around the world for Marshall Amplification. Chris George is an endorsee of PRS, Fret-King and LAG guitars, Picato Strings, Seymour Duncan and Bare Knuckle Pickups.
