1. How did the band first meet each other?
me (shelf) and damo had been friends for a while, talked about the same stuff and hated the same bands. I think at first damo had this idea of being the heavyest band on the planet, heavyer than anything you've ever heard. The origional line up were all mates from doncaster who'd been involved with bands. we grew some beards and became wise and practised a lot. wrote loads of **** until we came up with somthing we thought was worthy and then played it infront of some drunks or we were all in an army together the rest of the army was sleign at the hands of two demons we lived to tell the tale and do that through our music.
2. What bands were your greatest influences?
>>thats allways a bit of a difficult question to answer. I suppose if you really care about what your playing and what it means to be in a band then there's hundreds of bands who influance what you're trying to achieve. I suppose we all love the classics like sabbath and that, free, cream, zep. The list goes on. It's good to know where you're coming from. There's loads of new bands appearing and dissapearing. In my books most of the decent ones reference the stuff that made history . Bands that really changed the way gutar music is played. I wouldn't like to think that any of the bands around at the moment have any direct influance but I think they do allow you to widen your boundries and experiment a bit more. do stuff that isn't so directly guitar influenced. I also like bronski beat and any death metal bands even if they're ****.
3. When did you start playing an instrument and what was it?
I played the tenor horn in a brass band from being about 7 or 8 until I was about 17.
4. What was the bands most memorable gig to date?
I think if we all sat around and decided it would take forever. Outside of the band life is a hurtling ball of waste so we tend to have as much fun as possible on tour and at gigs. In my mind the most memorable is a combination of about 4 or 5 or 45.
5. What do you do to relax on tour?
drink, smoke, wank, play..
6. Which country would you like to spend time gigging in? personally probably russia, I'm not sure what everyone else would think of that. collectively we mostly talk about sweden and germany but probably a country were you get free stuff. 7. What is your favourite song of all time?
don't ask that.
8. Have you any new releases lined up for 2005?
yes we do. Its an album. Its black with skulls on it. Its called black heart blues and we're all proud of it., it is by far the best music I have ever heard. And I don't know when its out so will you find out and let me know.
9. What is the bands ideal goal?
more albums bigger tours free money a castle with moat and a boat, a free bar five black horses some swords and a small country with economic stability.
10. What equipment (manufacturer) does each band member currently
use? don't really want to say unless they give us it for free.
11. Who has the worst habit?
The worst habit? lets see, tony is a twat. does that count as a habit.?
