Anterior - This Age Of Silence

Anterior are a full blown modern metal band out of the welsh scene that has spawned
Funeral For A Friend, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon, But Anterior take the metal one step further and include some blistering axe work on top and it works unbelievable well, where FFAF have edged towards the mainstream Anterior are capturing solid metal ground with their classy guitar work which is a prerequisite if you want true metal heads to take notice and take notice they are.

Anterior's debut album 'This Age Of Silence' opens with a little intro 'Ghosts Of dawn' but almost unnoticed it slams into the second track 'The Silent Divide' all six minutes plus of quality metal which is a brilliant opener for a debut album and establishes the bands metal credentials right there and then, without pausing for breath the album storms into the belligerent 'Dead Divine' all rampant bludgering riffery and a huge gear change midway before racing away again in hurricane force. Luke on vocals seems to have a three dimensional voice which he explodes with on 'Dead Deliverence' while the band deliver even more axe work that rivals 'Dragonforce for pinpoint quality and speed, but its not fret runs that anterior will be noticed for it's going to be the power riffery or is it both?, the simple fact is that this band have the musicianship to do it all and doing it well.

So it continues with nine storming tracks that will make you gasp and dribble at the same time. For a debut album this is promising to present a remarkable talent to the world.

Luke Davies - Guitar, Vocals
Leon Kemp - Lead Guitar
Ross Andrews - Drums
