We have Just Posted a review for DESCENT on their latest full length album
'THIS VIOLENT REALITY' and you can read here....
Some background info on the band below.
West London based DESCENT are a 4 piece death-thrash-core metal band. The new album “This Violent Reality” will be released through Corellian Records.
DESCENT combine the detuned heaviness of early MACHINE HEAD, the technical thrash aggression of AT THE GATES,and the kind of intelligent lyrics bands like The Haunted and Soilwork touch on. Since the addition Tim in mid 2003, DESCENT's material fast become the heaviest, most energetic, most varied and undoubtedly the best music that the band have produced so far.
DESCENT have played with bands such as SUFFOCATION, SHADOW'S FALL, DEATH ANGEL, BOLT THROWER, THE CROWN, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, STAMPIN'GROUND, VADER, DARKANE, DECAPITATED, DREAM EVIL, SKINLESS, BENEDICTION, and AKER****E and have received airplay at many major rock clubs / gigs as well as on XFM, Total Rock Radio and are on the playlist at U.S. MegaRock Radio...
These guys rule!
METAL HAMMER
Imagine if you will the detuned heaviness of early Machine Head/Skinlab with the technical thrash precision of Carcass/In Flames. Energetic, brutal and damned righteous too. Last one in the mosh pit is a wuss.
TERRORIZER
DESCENT deliver a formidable Thrash-Death kicking

Through playing countless live shows all around the country DESCENT have built up a good following and much respect in the UK underground scene and have received endorsements from ESP Guitars and Peavey amps.
The band’s cover of Testament's classic 'Into The Pit' in December 2002 for the Blackfish Records' 'Thrash or Be Thrashed' tribute album, and have received some great reviews / comments on the track. Their 2003 demo (the first to feature the current line-up) was recorded at Warehouse studios in Oxford over 4 days in October 2003. Reactions to the bands new heavier, thrashier direction were excellent and sparked interest from some European record labels.
