GREATEST LIVE BAND discuss

There have been many superb live bands down the years and I'm sure this will throw up plenty of debate.

For pure stage presence I am going for Queen

Please let me know you're thoughts

Many thanks for reading this and I look forward to speaking to you
soon

I'd probably go with Queen too, stadium rockers are suited to huge venues with lots of atmosphere.

Incubus at an open air festival
Queen inside a stadium
Enter Shikari in a small venue

Thats my picks, different bands suit different venues in my opinion, incubus wouldn't suit a small venue no matter how cool it might be for a fan to be so close.

AC/DC at a festival, surely. Saw them in Milton Keynes and they were awsome!
I've only ever seen a Queen tribute act so I couldn't possibly comment but I saw Sabbath in 1999 at the Birmingham NEC and it was the best gig I have ever been to.
Smaller venues I'd have to go with GWAR (if anyone's even heard of them). Good in a smallish venue because even the people at the back get totally covered with the blood, piss, semen, chemicals, and whatever else they might be pumping out of themselves at the time...

I saw Queen when freddy was still alive and what a singer... difficult to say that they were the best live band ever but they were as tight as arsoles and knew how to bounce us about, I also saw Iron maiden live a long time ago and they also rocked I have seen U2 live and that was definatly an experience in ireland, but the best fun has usually been with the bands in small tight halls, hot sweaty and explosive, I saw the Blueprint with karl middleton ( ex Earthtone9 ) and they were as good as any, I think if the band are good musicians with good hardware they will make you rock and the more experieced they are the better the gig. and of course that have to be on top form.

To amny bands do themselves a misjustice by having crap amps and speakers so they sound distorted which ruins the experience
