Global Live Earth Concert

The Istanbul edition of the July 7 global Live Earth concerts has been cancelled.

Quote:
A U.K. spokesman for the Live Earth said in a statement, "The Turkey show has been restructured and changed because of unforeseen logistical problems in Istanbul.
but the truth is that the concert promoters have failed to get big sponsors ..
this is a big shame for turkey .

i think they took a well thought of step by cancelling the gig... for a country that has trouble feeding its own population...

The problem is the companies who would sponsor such an event either don't need to advertise in Turkey or don't want too. It was a bad idea to even try and hold a concert there.
