Submit your stuff to Roadrunner records

So you want Roadrunner to listen to your band’s demo? Awesome! We welcome submissions to the UK office, but if you want us to listen to it, please follow these guidelines:

1) Send us a CD. DO NOT EMAIL MP3'S- THEY WILL NOT GET LISTENED TO. Opening files from an unknown source is risky and PC speakers are shite!

2) DON’T send us a URL to your website/Purevolume site/MySpace profile- chances are we won’t follow it. We’re a small office, so we have huge workloads we have to prioritize. If we cannot click straight away it will be forgotten, sorry.

3) Package your CD well and test it works before you post it!! A bunk CD is no use to man nor beast!

4) Feel free to check we got the CD OK, but do not call for feedback. We get WAY too many to feedback on them all. If we like what we hear we will be in contact.

5) Please include band name, contact name, phone number & email address either on the CD itself, or on the packaging and a full band bio/history. Any band shots, gig stats, previous sales of CDs and Merch etc also useful

6) Play some shows before you send it in. You need to know you can pull this off live and so do we. If we like your disk, we shouldn’t be coming to your first show when we arrange to come and watch you play. You should already have started working on your fan base. You need a strong work ethic to be in a band. Get out there and start working!!

7) Don’t send a list of excuses about your demo- it’s not the new stuff/it’s not representative of what our sound is going to be/it’s really bad production etc… if YOU have to make excuses for it, why should a label be interested? Take your time and wait until you can submit something you are proud of and you think represents you well.

8) All the above seem like a lil too much for you? F*CK OFF then. If you can’t be bothered to play shows and put a decent package together, you will never make it as a touring band. And metal bands have to tour. It’s when you get signed the real work starts so we need bands not only with the music and stage presence to make it, but also the work ethic to do all that’s needed to make a record/band a success.

So, still think you can cut it against the bands on the roster? Then send your demos to the address below!

Thanks, and good luck,
