Manchester Punkers GOLDBLADE Release new album 'Mutiny'

Buccaneering crew Goldblade bring their swashbuckling galleon to the high seas once more for their fifth album, 'Mutiny' calling for revolution and booty! With a piratical glee and a blur of limbs and sweatshod torso they tear up the stage like a gang of mutant pirates armed with a lyrical cutlass of searing social commentary, fierce guitars and a sex, style and subversion of a holy fuck of a live show.

These mp3 pirates have a commitment to turn the too polished corporate pop world into a feral celebration of the primetime excitement of punk rock. They demand you sit up and take notice and they cackle as EMI and major dinosaurs collapse into ruins as the digital downloads tear the very fabric of the boring record industry.

The Manchester based band raise the skull and crossbones standard once more in a series of typically anthemic songs including June 2008’s top 75 hit ‘Jukebox Generation’.

These songs will be tearing mosh pits up worldwide as the band hit the road again for another globe trotting tour which includes the UK, Europe, the USA, Russia and maybe even India and China in the coming year.

'Mutiny’ features 13 songs from the sing-along call to arms of ‘Riot ‘, inspired by the LAPD tear gassing the 10, 000 strong audience at a Californian festival the band were playing and the riot cops in Moscow who went in mob handed on the massive mosh pit Goldblade had generated.

The album features the neo stooges/MC5 psychedelic punk rock freak out ‘Wake up! Wake up! You’re already dead’. There are anthemic songs about death and rock n roll like recent top 75 single ‘Jukebox Generation’ and caustic social commentary of 'everybody’s on drugs’.

Lyrically the album is razor sharp with front man John Robb’s ‘searing caustic social commentary’ (the Guardian) wordplay which saw him dubbed as ' one if the best lyricists in the UK right now' in the American press. Meanwhile Robb’s recent best selling book ‘Punk Rock An Oral History’ and upcoming acting debut and heavy-duty TV work are all signs of the band’s high profile.

‘Mutiny’ is the band’s best album and a rude and exciting sign of just how vibrant the UK punk rock scene is!
